The Opportunity
We are hiring an Access to Healthcare Medical Representative based in Kenya.
The Access to Healthcare Medical Representative will be responsible in effectively representing and promoting Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) core products to existing and potential customers while demonstrating that BI products best suits their needs and that of their underserved patients with the objective of maximizing patient access and increasing market share. Key tasks would include cultivating strategic partnerships with assigned key accounts and co-create sustainable, evidence-based, differentiated value-offer, that appropriately position BI products for adoption and rational use in underserved populations.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Achieve enlisting, sales, distribution/product usage and profit targets while cultivating relationships with key stakeholders in assigned key accounts
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of customer needs/customer mapping, value drivers and systems/processes for assigned customers
- Develop and coordinate the implementation of multi-channel / cross functional plans for assigned key accounts.
- Negotiate customer partnerships that helps to achieve market access objectives, appropriately position BI products for adoption and use in clinical practice through guidelines, protocols and disease management.
- Work with customers to implement programs/ project that improve health outcomes
- Develop customers advocacy by gaining their acceptance of innovative resources/partnership opportunities which result in customer satisfaction and joint value creation
- Collaborate with marketing / market access in delivering product message
- Prepare daily reports and provide monthly forecasting around patient engagement
- Ensure all tasks and responsibilities are carried out in compliance with BI Policies and Procedures
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Economics or Business Administration
- 2-3 years of experience in sales or key account management
- Analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to make decisions, solve problems and evaluate results to choose the best solutions
- Excellent communicator with strong orientation towards understanding customer needs
- Capable of organizing, planning, and prioritizing workload
- Entrepreneurial, agile and creative
