Uses:

• Dry and irritating cough

Dosage:

Adults: 10 mL three to four times daily

Children 6–12 years: 5 mL three to four times daily

Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mL three times daily

Children under 2 years: Only on doctor’s advice

Shake well before use.

Side Effects:

Common:

• Drowsiness

• Dizziness

• Dry mouth

• Mild stomach upset

Less common:

• Nausea

• Constipation

• Blurred vision

Rare:

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, itching)

Warnings & Precautions:

• May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery.

• Use cautiously in asthma or chronic cough conditions.

• Avoid combining with other cough suppressants or antihistamines.

• Use with caution in glaucoma and prostatic enlargement.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Not recommended

Drug Interactions:

• MAO inhibitors – may cause serious reactions

• Alcohol and sedatives – increased CNS depression

• Other antihistamines or cough medicines

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to any component

• Use with or within 14 days of MAO inhibitors

• Severe respiratory depression
