Uses:

Relief of allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, skin rashes, and urticaria (hives)

Dosage:

Children 6–11 months: 2.5 mg once daily (doctor’s advice required)
Children 1–2 years: 2.5 mg once daily (may increase to twice daily if needed)
Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mg once daily (max 5 mg/day)
Children 6–11 years: 5–10 mg once daily
Adults & ≥12 years: 10 mg once daily

(Measure using proper dosing device)

Side Effects:

Drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, dizziness, stomach discomfort

Warnings & Precautions:

May cause mild drowsiness — caution with activities requiring alertness
Use carefully in kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed)
Avoid alcohol or other sedating medicines

Pregnancy & Lactation:

Consult doctor before use; small amounts pass into breast milk

Drug Interactions:

Sedatives, alcohol, or other CNS depressants may increase drowsiness

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to cetirizine or related antihistamines
