Uses:

Symptomatic relief of pain, discomfort, and inflammation caused by:

  • Common mouth ulcers (aphthous ulcers).
  • Denture irritation or sore spots from braces/orthodontic devices.
  • Cold sores (herpes labialis – symptomatic relief only).
  • Minor oral irritations or soreness.
    Provides fast-acting soothing relief and helps prevent secondary infection. Not for teething in young children (use the specific teething variant if needed) or severe/infected oral conditions requiring medical treatment.

Dosage:

Apply a small amount (about ½ inch / 1 cm of gel) directly to the affected area using a clean finger.
Adults and children over 16 years: Massage gently onto the sore area, not more than once every 3 hours (maximum 6 applications in 24 hours).
Children under 16 years: Not recommended for the adult ulcer gel (due to salicylate content and Reye’s syndrome risk); use the dedicated teething gel variant only if advised by a doctor/pharmacist.
Duration: Use for up to 7 days. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a doctor, dentist, or pharmacist.

Side Effects:

Common (mild/transient): Temporary stinging or burning sensation on application, local irritation.
Less common: Allergic reactions (rash, itching), nausea (if swallowed in large amounts).
Serious (very rare): Salicylate toxicity (especially if overused in children – symptoms: vomiting, tinnitus, rapid breathing); severe allergic reactions (swelling, difficulty breathing – seek immediate care).

Warnings & Precautions:

For oral use only – do not swallow large amounts.
Important: Not for children under 16 years (contains salicylate, linked to Reye’s syndrome risk, especially during viral infections like chickenpox or flu).
Avoid in people with aspirin/salicylate allergy or active stomach ulcers.
If no improvement after 7 days, or if ulcers are large/recurrent, see a doctor/dentist.
Contains small amounts of alcohol and fragrances – may cause mild irritation in sensitive individuals.
