Uses:

It is indicated in treatment of gingivitis, aphthous ulceration & candidal infection, peridonal surgery, control of dental caries and maintenance of oral hygiene.

Dosage:

Remove cap & squeeze until the 5ml dispenser fills. Remidin to be swished in the mouth for one minute twice a day. Do not rinse with water or eat/drink anything for 10 minutes. For prolonged use 1:1 dilution of remidin and plain water should be used. Recommended only under professional guidance.

Side Effects:

Increase in staining of teeth and other oral surface, increase in calculus formation and altered taste perception. Minor irritation and superficial desquamation of the oral mucosa, particularly among children transient parotitis.

The presence or absence of gingival inflammation following treatment should not be used as a major indicator of underlying periodontitis.

Staining of oral surfaces such as tooth surfaces, restorations and the dorsum of the tongue may occur. Taste perception alteration may occur while undergoing treatment.

Chlorhexidine Gluconate has not been tested in acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis.

An increase in supragingival calculus was noted in clinical testing in chlorhexidine users. The calculus deposits have to be removed by dental prophylaxis at 6 month intervals.
