Uses:
Relief of allergic conditions — allergic rhinitis, sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, and urticaria (hives)
Dosage:
Children 6–11 months: 2.5 mg once daily (doctor’s advice required)
Children 1–2 years: 2.5 mg once daily (may increase to twice daily if needed)
Children 2–5 years: 2.5 mg once daily (max 5 mg/day)
Children 6–11 years: 5–10 mg once daily
Adults & ≥12 years: 10 mg once daily
Use proper measuring device.
Side Effects:
Mild drowsiness, dry mouth, headache, fatigue, dizziness, stomach discomfort
Warnings & Precautions:
May cause drowsiness — caution with driving
Use carefully in kidney impairment (dose adjustment may be needed)
Avoid alcohol or sedating medicines
Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use only if advised by doctor; small amounts pass into breast milk
Drug Interactions:
Alcohol, sedatives, or other CNS depressants increase drowsiness
