
MONTYFEX TABLETS
Montyflex tablet is indicated in adults and children 12 years and older for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis.
Description
Composition: Each film coated tablet contains; Fexofenadine hydrochloride BP 120mg, Montelukast sodium BP Eq to Montelukast 10mg.
Color: Yellow Oxide of Iron & Titanium Dioxide BP.
Dosage: Adults (>15 years) 1 Tablet once daily.
Contraindications: Montyfex is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to montelukast sodium, Fexofenadine or any other component in this product.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Pregnancy: There is no adequate and well-controlled studies of either montelukast or fexofenadine in pregnant women. Hence, montyfex should be used during pregnancy only if it is considered to be clearly essential.
Lactation: It is not known if montelukast and fexofenadine is excreted in human milk. Hence, tablets are not recommended for nursing mothers.
Side effects:
MONTELUKAST: dyspepsia, abdominal pain, rash, dizziness, headache, fatigue, fever, trauma, cough, nasal congestion.
FEXOFENADINE: headache, drowsiness, nausea, dizziness.
